Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Bright Thistle Medical is a Detroit company producing monitoring and surgical equipment. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. Documentation is part of the craft. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about production lots into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with production lots. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
