Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Highbridge Willow Insurance is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for underwriting files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about underwriting files into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Tampa. • We reply to every applicant.
