Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

We are growing our team at Summit West Telecom Group and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be internal tools. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about field visits into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with field visits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Phoenix. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
