Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Greenridge Sparrow Energy is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for usage data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 51 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about usage data into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with usage data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Little Rock. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
