Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Harborlight Timber Early Learning runs childcare centres in Indianapolis caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about tuition and subsidies into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with tuition and subsidies. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Indianapolis. • We reply to every applicant.
