Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

We are growing our team at Lumen Vale Early Learning and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be internal tools. You would join a small organisation of about 40 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about classroom supplies into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with classroom supplies. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Dallas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
