Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Summit Haven Early Learning is an early-learning provider in Austin. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. You would join a small organisation of about 137 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about licensing records into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with licensing records. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
