Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Summit Clear Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Minneapolis, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. You would join a small organisation of about 194 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about network equipment into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with network equipment. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Minneapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
