Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Redstone Ridge Medical Partners is a Hartford company producing monitoring and surgical equipment, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. You would join a small organisation of about 40 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with clinical evaluations. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
