Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Amberfield Stone Telecom is a telecommunications provider in San Diego focused on reliable home and business connections. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about field visits into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with field visits. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in San Diego. • We reply to every applicant.
