Software Engineer - internal tools (Raleigh, NC)

We are growing our team at Bright Pine Water Authority and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be internal tools. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about pipe repairs into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with pipe repairs. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Raleigh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
