Software Engineer - internal tools (Pittsburgh, PA)

Greenridge Field Community Partners is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for food distribution, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 52 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about food distribution into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with food distribution. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We reply to every applicant.
