Software Engineer - internal tools (Philadelphia, PA)

Foxglove Ridge Insurance is an insurance company in Philadelphia with claims and service teams. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Philadelphia. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about claims into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Philadelphia. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
