Software Engineer - internal tools (Omaha, NE)

Stonegate Harbor Transit Planning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for accessibility audits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 35 people based in Omaha. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about accessibility audits into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with accessibility audits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Omaha, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
