Software Engineer - internal tools (Omaha, NE)

We are growing our team at Lumen Vale Community Partners and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be internal tools. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Turn requests about donor records into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with donor records. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Omaha. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
