Software Engineer - internal tools (New Orleans, LA)

Nova Wren Legal Group is a New Orleans practice with attorneys, paralegals and client-service staff. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. You would join a large organisation of about 760 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with intake forms. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
