Software Engineer - internal tools (New Orleans, LA)

Cedar Vista Learning Group is an education provider in New Orleans serving students and families. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. You would join a small organisation of about 21 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with enrolment. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
