Software Engineer - internal tools (Milwaukee, WI)

We are growing our team at Bright Rook Learning Group and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be internal tools. You would join a small organisation of about 40 people based in Milwaukee. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about family communication into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with family communication. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Milwaukee, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
