Software Engineer - internal tools (Miami, FL)

Cedar Lakeside Energy Group delivers power and gas plans across the Miami region, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. You would join a large organisation of about 259 people based in Miami. What you will do • Turn requests about service connections into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with service connections. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Miami. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
