Software Engineer - internal tools (Madison, WI)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Cedar Inspection Services and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be internal tools. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about scheduling into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with scheduling. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Madison, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
