Software Engineer - internal tools (Louisville, KY)

We are growing our team at Cedar Energy and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be internal tools. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about billing disputes into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with billing disputes. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Louisville. • We reply to every applicant.
