Software Engineer - internal tools (Louisville, KY)

Amberfield Harbor Transit Planning Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for service alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 207 people based in Louisville. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with service alerts. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Louisville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
