Software Engineer - internal tools (Knoxville, TN)

Silverline Birch Care Services supports families and individuals in Knoxville with personal care and coordination, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. You would join a large organisation of about 528 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Turn requests about family communication into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with family communication. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Knoxville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
