Software Engineer - internal tools (Jacksonville, FL)

Foxglove Hollow Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Jacksonville design routes and schedules. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. You would join a small organisation of about 18 people based in Jacksonville. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about accessibility audits into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with accessibility audits. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Jacksonville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
