Software Engineer - internal tools (Honolulu, HI)

Amberfield Wilder Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Honolulu, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with pipe repairs. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Honolulu. • We reply to every applicant.
