Software Engineer - internal tools (Hartford, CT)

Rivermark Sparrow Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Hartford area, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about billing accounts into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Hartford. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
