Software Engineer - internal tools (Hartford, CT)

Bluepeak Granite Community Partners Group is a Hartford charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about volunteer shifts into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with volunteer shifts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
