Software Engineer - internal tools (Grand Rapids, MI)

Nova Ridge Medical designs and makes medical devices in Grand Rapids, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. You would join a small organisation of about 13 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about complaint handling into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with complaint handling. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
