Software Engineer - internal tools (Detroit, MI)

Summit Quill Facilities looks after properties across the Detroit region. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. Clear communication between supervisors and crews matters. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about supply orders into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with supply orders. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
