Software Engineer - internal tools (Denver, CO)

Summit Bright Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Denver and nearby communities, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about water quality into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with water quality. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Denver, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
