Software Engineer - internal tools (Dallas, TX)

Nova Umber Inspection Services Partners tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Dallas, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. Independence and accuracy are our product. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about equipment calibration into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with equipment calibration. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Dallas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
