Software Engineer - internal tools (Columbus, OH)

Clearpath Lantern Early Learning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for family communication, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about family communication into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with family communication. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Columbus, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
