Software Engineer - internal tools (Columbus, OH)

Amberfield Drift Facilities is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for contractor visits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 864 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Turn requests about contractor visits into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with contractor visits. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Columbus. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
