Software Engineer - internal tools (Cincinnati, OH)

Highbridge Basin Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Cincinnati region. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. You would join a small organisation of about 113 people based in Cincinnati. What you will do • Turn requests about meter readings into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with meter readings. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Cincinnati. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
