Software Engineer - internal tools (Cincinnati, OH)

Fernwood Sable Community Partners runs community programmes across Cincinnati. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. You would join a small organisation of about 179 people based in Cincinnati. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about donor records into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with donor records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Cincinnati, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
