Software Engineer - internal tools (Charleston, SC)

Cedar Hollow Energy Group delivers power and gas plans across the Charleston region. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about billing disputes into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with billing disputes. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
