Software Engineer - internal tools (Buffalo, NY)

Ironwood Partners builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Buffalo. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. You would join a small organisation of about 20 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with training materials. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Buffalo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
