Software Engineer - internal tools (Boston, MA)

Summit Rook Water Authority Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for pipe repairs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with pipe repairs. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
