Software Engineer - internal tools (Birmingham, AL)

Redstone Sparrow Care Services is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for caregiver training, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 157 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Turn requests about caregiver training into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with caregiver training. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
