Software Engineer - internal tools (Birmingham, AL)

Stonegate Cross Facilities looks after properties across the Birmingham region, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. Clear communication between supervisors and crews matters. What you will do • Turn requests about cleaning schedules into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with cleaning schedules. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
