Software Engineer - internal tools (Birmingham, AL)

Stonegate Drift Health is a healthcare provider in Birmingham with clinics and support teams, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. We are busy and kind, and we look after each other. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about clinic supplies into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with clinic supplies. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
