Software Engineer - internal tools (Birmingham, AL)

Greenridge North Medical is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for training materials, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 19 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about training materials into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with training materials. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
