Software Engineer - internal tools (Birmingham, AL)

Stonegate Union Facilities Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for cleaning schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Turn requests about cleaning schedules into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with cleaning schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
