Software Engineer - internal tools (Birmingham, AL)

Bluepeak Works is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for care plans, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 2 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about care plans into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with care plans. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
