Software Engineer - internal tools (Baltimore, MD)

Northwind Corner Financial is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for regulatory reports, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about regulatory reports into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with regulatory reports. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
