Software Engineer - internal tools (Austin, TX)

Fernwood Meadow Community Partners Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for donor records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about donor records into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with donor records. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Austin, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
