Software Engineer - internal tools (Atlanta, GA)

We are growing our team at Lumen Granite Learning Group and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be internal tools. You would join a small organisation of about 152 people based in Atlanta. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about school calendars into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with school calendars. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Atlanta. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
