Software Engineer - integrations (Toledo, OH)

Bright Union Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Toledo. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on integrations. You would join a small organisation of about 23 people based in Toledo. What you will do • Turn requests about service alerts into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with service alerts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Toledo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
