Software Engineer - integrations (St. Louis, MO)

We are growing our team at Bright Ember Learning Group and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be integrations. Families are partners. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about family communication into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with family communication. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in St. Louis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
