Software Engineer - integrations (Spokane, WA)

Bright Vale Community Partners is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on integrations for benefits enrolment, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with benefits enrolment. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Spokane. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
